It is written by John Seeley who later was at UCSB during the era of the riots and afterwards in Santa Barbara; driving force behind the STRATEGIC HAMLET (along with Becca Wilson) and, later, the SANTA BARBARA NEWS & REVIEW (predecessor of today's Santa Barbara INDEPENDENT):
